Pride of the Dambusters!

I take great delight in the knowledge that this guild never spams trade chat for members.

We have an open invite policy in place at the moment.  There have been times of strife in the past where recruitment has been halted due to potential misfit characters’ attempts to re-enter the guild after being removed for drama causing, but happily those occasions have been few and far between.

In the main, our recruitment comes from the spread of words between people around the server and this information is something I would like to ensure all Dambusters members and possible friends from other guilds who read this article are aware of.

There is nothing to be ashamed of by ‘trade spamming’ for recruits and most guilds do so.  It’s especially difficult to compete with the longer standing guilds on a server when you start afresh so anything a leader can do to advertise their guild is worthwhile.  At times like these when some raiding guilds are trying to finalise their 2nd, 3rd and even 4th raid teams it’s common to see them spamming their glorious achievements on the trade chat to entice potential raiders out of their current guilds with the promise of a good raid team.

The Dambusters have never adopted these policies since the very beginning, instead relying on the spread of good reputation among friends.  People who ask in trade are welcome for an invite to the guild, but their progress within the guild is entirely dependent upon their ability to show a team spirit and social awareness that is synonymous with the famous Dambusters of Xavius!

Be proud of your guild Dambusters, remember when you see the other guild’s spam trade, that your guild needs no trade spam to recruit, you can be sure we have the most active community in the server regardless of spam advertising and the guild will go from strength to strength come Mists of Pandaria!
