Some people need to be keeping there egotistic, selfish, petty and vindictive comments to themfuckingselves.. Trolling around the blog looking for places to post completely unnecessary bullshit.. Constructive criticism based on fact is warmly welcomed, but don’t go spoiling the atmosphere just because your vagina flops around uncontrollably, that’s not our fault.

There will be no more Mr nice man if this shit continues..

Firstly @ Ronisginger, how about BT acts as BT likes on BTs own blog lol? How about you stop trolling if you have nothing of interest to discuss regarding the original post details? In addition, I was always planning a more concise reply and I was sure Kirsty would have seen the funny side of what I said. I was a little busy at the time earlier, was having a quick cuppa tea between functional tests of a fighter jet’s landing gear so please forgive that cheeky reply.

Kirsty, I thank you very much for your interest in the blog, of course it can get blood boiling if I say something you might disagree with but at least your criticism is constructive, while I may still take issue with your points 🙂

“First of all, this looks remarkably like an addon, may have just gone buggy but who knows.”

It’s very obviously an add-on, and I in now way consider my friend Arron to be trying to cause the Dambusters any harm whatsoever, but people must take responsibility for the actions of their add-ons, especially in a social game where the add-on effectively assumes control of aspects of a characters’ /whisper capabilities. I am not alone in condemning these types of add-ons, take a look at this….http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4551698092…..for just one of many forum posts as an example.

“Poaching is in fact the illegal taking of something that doesn’t belong to you. I am pretty sure that speaking to someone asking if they WANT to join a guild (its their choice after all) is not illegal.”

I did at no point say that ‘poaching’ is in a video game was illegal lol, it’s just regarded as part of Guild Leader’s etiquette that you should not directly approach members of another guild (especially your former guild) with an offer of joining your own guild. You are correct about the fact that someone obviously does not belong to the GL, and that there are 3 people involved in the ‘poach’ including the ‘poachee’, the approaching guild leader and the previous guild leader. The previous guild leader’s job is to ensure that the character in question is sufficiently satisfied with their current guild so as to ensure he/she will not reciprocate favourably to any approach. The character in question may not even have considered moving until the approaching GL decided to /w them with the offer of something he may or may not be able to deliver 🙂

An interesting take on this can be found in this educational post on WoW Insider….http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/12/12/officers-quarters-members-turned-poachers/

“I wouldn’t be jealous that Shaman Stole My Bike has a wonderful atmosphere with close friends in it.”

Far from being jealous, I have actually actively encouraged people in /trade to join Shaman Stole My Bike, ask Arron and Dan and they will verify that information. I feel friendly with most people on the server, tho some people have taken a dislike to me because of my personality. Those people are free to /ignore me, or not join the Dambusters as they wish 🙂

“Also its a good idea to pay a little respect to your friends and maybe be happy for their success.”

Don’t talk to me about respect! You used me as a verbal punch-bag for no reason other than my ‘ego?’ and my choice of spec at a time when you were admittedly bored in life and pissed off about things. I tried to be there for you and when I gave you that inch of leniency you threw it back at me 10 fold. I never said a bad word against you and even told people that I believed you to have a heart of gold and defended you when they got upset with your self confessed ‘big gob’. I have nothing but respect for Arron and Dan for going their own way and I sincerely hope for only the best as these 2 cool guilds move forward into MoP and beyond. The issue I have is that my friend Arron told me he would not poach, then I found that message to one of my officers.

P.S. This blog post was never aimed at damaging Arron or Shaman Stole My Bike, instead it was aimed at my own guild, I merely want to ensure The Dambusters are aware that add-ons like this may try to poach them away. That is my prerogative as a Guild Leader, unlike many Guild Leaders around, I WILL try to protect our valued members and strive to ensure we all have a fun gaming environment with hopefully no vindictive personalities inside the guild who are after something for personal gain only.

    /Salute!
