New Recruits

The beauty of recruiting through the official Blizzard forum is that the people who find us there already access our front-end website and have the ability to understand what type of people we are in the Dambusters simply by flicking through the information on there.

We can be sure that having applied on the website, they are already well abreast of how the world of warcraft community operates and how to act in order to maximise the community spirit felt within a guild.

Everyone is different but starting off on the same page is a great help in order to forge ahead as a good guild. People who come into the guild as social members trying to make new friends, or who want to join in with our raid team or even a bit of both will already be aware of what kind of group we are because they have accessed the website where I write this blog, where guildies have their screenshots posted on the gallery, the (underused but totally available) forums, the officers page along with detailed information about the guild’s rank structure and of course, ‘the rules’.

Rules are a big benefit to any organised guild. Having rules in places gives a prospective applicant peace of mind that the guild leader has thought seriously about the behaviour of the members and has drawn up a reference point of regulations that people should abide by. Someone with good moral values should be checking a guild’s rules to ensure they (or their loved ones) are unlikely to be subject to unwanted attention in their potential new gaming home and this is exactly the type of new members we like to see joining the guild. Diligent, friendly and above all, good people!

We have had some very interesting new members join the guild recently and I expect everyone to welcome them aboard with the usual jokes and warm, friendly behaviour for which you are well known. There will undoubtedly be many more new members who will join this fantastic community and your warm welcome will leave them with a long lasting first impression.

A guild where people matter more than content progression, that’s the kind of guild I am proud to be part of!

/Salute to the new guys AND to the great people of the Dambusters who welcome you to the family with open arms!
